There is no evidence that Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota married her brother. 

The marriage certificate in this post is from Omar’s marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009. Unfounded allegations that Elmi is Omar’s brother date back to 2016, but no evidence has ever been provided.

Omar has called the allegations that she committed immigration fraud by marrying her brother “absurd and offensive,” and she has never been charged with a crime.
