There is no evidence to back the claim that Microsoft is offering about 60 thousand employees voluntary exit offers because of Indians.

The voluntary buyouts actually impact employees in India, along with those in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It comes as Microsoft ramps up spending on data centers for AI computing, which has put a strain on the company’s finances, according to reporting from CNBC. 

In response to previous unproven accusations that the company was replacing American workers with H-1B employees, Microsoft pointed out that about 80% of H-1B applications were for renewals of people already working at the company, and not for new employees.
