Undocumented individuals are already ineligible to receive Social Security benefits.

Even though undocumented individuals don’t receive Social Security benefits, they still contribute tens of billions to the Social Security trust fund through taxes every year. 

The American Immigration Council estimated that in 2023 alone, undocumented individuals contributed about $26 billion.
