The majority of individuals admitted as refugees during former President Barack Obama’s two terms were not Muslim. Christians were the largest religious group of refugees admitted during Obama’s two terms.  

According to the Pew Research Center, Christian refugees outnumbered Muslim refugees for 7 out of Obama’s 8 years in office. 

Non-Muslim refugees made up about two-thirds of refugees admitted by the Obama administration from 2010 to 2015, according to an analysis from the Niskanen Center.
